I'm now visiting IAP Kühlungsborn, in Germany. IAP is a research institute that primarily focuses on the study of the middle atmosphere, using modelling, radar, and lidar observations. In addition to Germany, IAP has a large number of instruments in northern Norway.

The purpose of my trip is to collaborate with the radar group at IAP on coded continuous wave meteor radar, and radar observations of polar noctilucent clouds. The primary purpose is to publish first bi-static radar observations using IAP's MAARSY radar and our KAIRA instrument.

Koki Chau from IAP has also agreed to write a few blog posts for our new blog, and he will hopefully contribute on a regular basis in the future.
